Van Dijk Needs Adaptation with Juergen Klopp Scheme

Defender Virgil van Dijk is still looking for ways to adapt to the way Liverpool play under Juergen Klopp's care.

Since joining in January from Southampton, Van Dijk has played seven times with The Reds. Of that number, Van Dijk won four wins by swallowing two defeats.

The Dutchman admitted, the style of playing at his current club is different from the previous club. However, he is getting used to how to play Klopp.

Since handling Liverpool in October 2015, Klopp is famous for his style of pressing play or gegenpressing.

"Every day here is difficult, we work very hard, there is a big difference, I need to improve the game, especially in the early days," said Van Dijk as quoted by BBC Sport.

After being sidelined for eight months due to injury, Van Dijk admitted glad to be back playing in September 2017 and melakoni debut with Liverpool on 5 January.

The 26-year-old defender admitted he could not forget the moment of the debut because he considered something special. He admitted to not expecting to debut in the Merseyside derby against Everton.

"I came here to make things happen, I made the decision to come here based on it all, I love the fans, the atmosphere in the stadium and on the road,"

Van Dijk did not deny himself happy with the quality of Liverpool at this time. Now the Reds are struggling to be in the top four standings and enliven the hunt for Champions League champions this season.

"Klopp is very good and a great person, he has many attributes to make us achieve good things in the future," Van Dijk added.
