Mourinho: Manchester United Fear Against Brighton

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is not satisfied with the performance of his players in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup final against Brighton and Hove Albion. In a match at Old Trafford on Sunday (18/3), Manchester United won 2-0 over Brighton through goals Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

Despite stepping into the semi-finals, Mourinho rate players do not play as he wishes. The Portuguese manager considers the Red Devils squad to appear outside the scheme he has prepared during the training.

"Some of the other players I see are afraid to play, I can not say more, it's about the players directly, the relation to believe, the relation to the class," Mourinho said as quoted by the BBC.

Mourinho did not hesitate to call the game foster children frustrated him. His team deserved to win because it can control the game.

However, other statistics show the visitors far superior to the host. Brighton fired 17 shots at Manchester United, with six of them on target. While the Red Devils are only eight shots with two on target.

"Sometimes there is a contradiction between what you did in the last two days with what you did on the pitch," said Mourinho.

"It's [the game] more frustrating than the result, again I'm not happy with the connections in the [game] build, I blame all the players," Mourinho added.

What's worse is, the result against Brighton is considered no better than the 1-2 defeat of Sevilla, midway last week. That leaves them out of Champions League competition this season.
