Valentino Rossi Disappointed in Position 11

Movistar Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi was disappointed after only being able to 11th on the second day of the MotoGP preseason test at Losail International Circuit, Qatar, on Friday (2/3) evening local time.

Rossi actually improved his best time record on the second day. But, the speed of The Doctor with motorcycle M1 2018 did not rise significantly. Rossi was in position 11 with a record time of 1 minute 55.316 seconds.

Rossi adrift of 0.730 seconds from Suzuki's rider Andrea Iannone, who is surprisingly capable of being the fastest. Iannone ahead 0.041 seconds over Ducati Andrea Iannone rider.

"My position is not good, I think we are at the same level as at the end of last season," said Rossi was quoted from GPOne.

Yamaha considered Rossi still have to work hard to make the motorcycle M1 2018 more competitive. The reason, Rossi found many problems on the M1 motorcycle he rode.

"I like the new chassis because it makes cornering better, but we have to work hard with electronic devices because we suffer so much with acceleration It's hard to get out of the bend, especially with the tires already in use." Our rivals are very strong at this point, "said Rossi.

Not just electronic devices, Rossi also said M1 2018 makes the Michelin medium tires run out quickly. Though the 2018 M1 is considered Rossi does not fit the Michelin hard front tires.

"My speed is not so bad, the problem is the front tires, because when I use the tires I like, the tires are medium, it's very difficult to even finish half-turns," Rossi said.

Rossi was in seventh position on the first day of the test. 39-year-old rider was also hoping Yamaha mechanics team can overcome the problems it faces on the last day test at Losail Circuit on Saturday
